Oracle Keynote at Cloud Expo
IBM announced that it has successfully built Korea's first cloud computing
environment for a private sector company, SK Telecom, the largest
telecommunications company in Korea with over 24 million customers.
The cloud environment provides developers with the necessary software and
hardware to develop applications that will allow SK Telecom to offer up to 20
new services to their customers by the end of 2009, such as sports news feeds
and a photo service.

expanding its space in Telx's facility at 56 Marietta Street in Atlanta to

A new report released by Vodafone and Accenture says that the use of mobile
communications can reduce the annual energy bill for Europe by a €43
billion, equivalent to an annual reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by at
least 113 Mt CO2e (metric ton carbon dioxide equivalents) by 2020.
The figure equals about 2.4% of the CO2 emissions for the whole of the EU, or
eliminating close to one-fifth of the UK's emissions. Obviously, there's a
catch. Vodafone says that the only way to achieve those goals is for the
industry and governments to collaborate. The report, titled Carbon

Industry Association (TEMIA)(http://www.temia.org/ ), the premiere

that a total of more than $29 billion of wireless, voice and data telecom
spend were under management in 2007 according to its inaugural spend metrics
report. The report surveyed all thirty TEMIA member companies composed mainly

research at AOTMP, business telecommunications expenses in the U.S. reached
$350 billion last year, making telecom expense management equivalent to over
